Datalogic Shield is a service of Datalogic for obtaining software updates and security patches for mobile computers with the Android operating system. The service of Datalogic Shield includes the regular firmware updates including the quarterly security patches as well as the major version updates from Android.
Datalogic Shield can be obtained for a period of 1, 2 or 3 years and available for the Datalogic Joya Touch A6, Memor 1, Memor 10 and the Memor 11. The customer automatically receives a notification when an update is available.
Datalogic Shield is part of the more extensive Datalogic EaseofCare maintenance contract. Datalogic Shield is only intended for those who do not want an EaseofCare maintenance contract, but want to have access to the updates and security patches of the Android operating system.
