The Datalogic PowerScan PM9100 Linear Imager is the latest generation of robust 1D scanners, with the same features as a Laser scanner combined with the advantages of an Imager, such as reading barcodes from computer screens, tablets and smartphones. The green 'Laser-like' reading line is much more comfortable and less dangerous to the eyes of the user than the red Laser light. In addition, the PowerScan PM9100 does not have moving parts such as a Laser scanner, which greatly benefits the robustness.
In addition to an acoustic signal, the Datalogic PowerScan PM9100 Linear Imager provides multiple visual signals when reading bar codes correctly. In addition, the PowerScan PM9100 Linear Imager projects a 'Green spot' on the just read barcode when it is properly decoded.
The PowerScan PM9100 Linear Imager is a barcode scanner with 433MHz wireless technology and combines all the features and possibilities of the PowerScan 9100 series barcode scanners with maximum freedom of movement without the impediments of cables. The PowerScan PM9100 also has a quick-change battery so that it can be used continuously.
The PowerScan PM9100-D Linear Imager has a display for 6 lines of 21 characters and a keyboard with 4 free programmable keys. When two-way communication is used, the display can show instructions or messages for, for example, 'order picking' or inventory.

The Datalogic PowerScan PM9100 barcode scanner comes without a base station. The Powerscan PM9100 Linear Imager can be connected to a Datalogic BC9030, BC9130, BC9160 or BC9180 433MHz base station. The base station must be ordered separately (see 'Accessories' below).
