The new Zebra DS3678 is one of the most rugged and reliable barcode scanners available at the moment. The DS3678 can withstand repeated falls of 2.4 meters on concrete and has a dust-proof and water-resistant housing. In addition, the DS3678 is suitable for use in extreme temperature conditions, even up to -30° Celcius.
The DS3678 Extended Range scanner reads all common 1D and 2D bar codes printed on a product or label, closer and further away than most other Long Range scanners. With the Extended Range scanners, you can easily read a barcode on an order form and then a large barcode from the upper compartment in your warehouse rack. This makes the Extended Range scanners ideal for use on forklifts and for larger warehouses. The scan speed of the new Zebra DS3678 is unprecedented and leaves most of the competitors far behind. Even damaged, dirty or badly printed barcodes are easily and quickly read at the first scan. In addition to the traditional 'Feedback' such as a beep and illuminated indicators on the scanner, the DS3678 also has a vibration function that gives feedback when a barcode is read correctly.
The wireless DS3678 scanners use Bluetooth 4.0 technology which offers very fast wireless communication and efficiently handles energy. The Zebra Wi-Fi Friendly Mode prevents interference that Bluetooth devices often cause on Wi-Fi networks. In addition, the DS3678 wireless scanner has built-in FIPS encryption technology with which the connection between the scanner and the base station can be encrypted and the data is transmitted encrypted from the scanner to the base station.
The PowerPrecision+ battery and energy management allow up to 56% more scans per battery charge. This also gives more insight into the current state and 'health' of the battery and the number of times the battery is charged.
The Zebra DS3678-ER USB-kit comes with a base station, cable and power adapter included. The power adapter is supplied without a power cord. This must be ordered separately. (see 'Accessories' below).
