The Zebra ZD421 printer is the latest version of the Zebra desktop series and is the successor of the popular ZD420 and GK420 series. With the ZD421 printers, it is possible to add options to the printer afterwards, such as an ethernet or serial interface, or a label dispenser or cutter mechanism. This makes the ZD421 printer fully suitable for every application.
The ZD421t printers can print plain paper labels with ribbon in addition to thermal labels. Thermal labels are ideal for address and shipping labels, while plain paper labels printed with ribbon have a greater contrast, which improves the readability of barcodes and lasts longer. Plain paper labels printed with ribbon are much less sensitive to UV light so that they will not discolour or fade as quickly as thermal labels.
